“Rain the Fox”
Rain the Fox was a children’s illustration project that I completed during my final year studying Illustration with Animation at Manchester Metropolitan University.
For this project, I wrote and illustrated an original children’s book inspired by the seasonal changes of springtime and traditional folklore stories. The book introduces younger audiences to local wildlife, encouraging curiosity and a greater awareness of nature.
I developed the illustrations using a combination of watercolour and coloured pencils, before refining the final artwork digitally. The project allowed me to explore character development, visual storytelling, page composition and creating immersive imagery for a young audience.

“The Windfairies”
The Wind Fairies is a childrens illustration project I worked on during my final year studying Illustration with Animation at Manchester Metropolitan University, inspired by Mary de Morgan’s original fairy tale.
The project explores the story through a series of illustrations, focusing on environment, narrative and character design development. I focused on creating imaginative settings that could bring the characters and story to life.
Each illustration was created using watercolour and coloured pencil on A3 paper, allowing me to experiment with texture, colour and detail to build a distinctive visual world. I really loved this project!

Withington”
Christie Hospital Mural is an ongoing project with The Christie Hospital and the Tim Bacon Foundation, creating artwork for the Proton Beam Therapy Centre.
I am currently in the process of installing a mural inspired by Manchester’s wildlife, with the aim of providing patients and visitors with a moment of escapism. I wanted the artwork to feel immersive, creating a space that could offer a distraction and something new to discover each time it was viewed.
I developed a layered composition by digitally collaging hand painted designs, the digital layering creates a sense of depth and an environment that continually unveils new details.
The project has developed into an ongoing collaboration, and I am currently working with The Christie to progress the mural towards installation. Alongside the mural, I have already created merchandise featuring my artwork, exploring how the illustrations can be adapted across different products. These will be sold in the hospital, starting April 2027.

A short Stop-Motion animation I created using DragonFrame. I took a mixed-media approach to this brief, using clay to create the characters heads. I took photos and then printed them out, creating paper puppets.
Mural Projects
Hand-painting murals is something I really love to do, and I have been lucky enough to complete two seperate projects in my hometown.
My first mural project was for the Thomas Blake Memorial Gardens, where I worked with the town council to create bold, colourful floral designs for the flowerbeds along the public walkway.
I completed this project during my Foundation Diploma in Art & Design, which helped me gain experience in creating artwork for a public space and considering how colour and imagery can effect the surrounding environment.
My second mural was created for residential street in the centre town. Working with the local residents, I developed a desgin that reflected the surrounding front gardens.
These projects have strengthened my passion for creating large-scale artwork.
I would love the opportunity to continue working with communities to create more murals in the future.
